Aftercare Instructions

for Microbladed Brows

The aftercare process is essential in achieving gorgeous brow results that LAST. Please adhere to all aftercare instructions carefully. An aftercare kit is provided for you containing:

  • Instructions
  • Cosmetic ink soap
  • Ointment
  • Shower shield
  • Eyebrow spools
  • and Treats!

For the First Week

  1. Wash your eyebrow area twice daily OUTSIDE of the shower for 7 days following treatment. This helps remove bacteria, dead skin, and oils. This is a gentle cleanse and does not remove pigment from your new brows. Cleanse your eyebrows by using only your fingertips, cool water, and provided aftercare cleanser. Dry the area by lightly patting it with a clean towel.

Do not use a cleanser containing acids (glycolic, lactic, AHAs), scrubs, or exfoliants.

  2. After cleaning, moisturize by applying a very thin layer of your provided aftercare product with a clean cotton swab for the first 7 days. The ointment amount used should be about the size of a piece of rice, and that’s enough for both eyebrows. Make sure your skin is completely dry before applying. Be sure not to over-apply the product, as it will suffocate your skin and delay your healing process.

Complete healing time is 4-6 weeks. Scabbing is normal during the healing process. DO NOT pick or scratch at the scabs or you will risk pulling out the pigment thus compromising your results.

After about two weeks of healing, you will notice the color of your brows get very light and have a milky-looking quality. This is normal and commonly known in tattooing as milk skin. This happens because the tattoo is healing from the inside out. The outer layer of skin is healed but it takes 4-6 weeks for the brows to fully heal inside and reveal their true color. Trust the process.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

  • Do NOT pick or scratch at your tattoo even when it itches during the healing process.
  • Do NOT apply makeup to the area for the first week.
  • Avoid hot tubs, saunas, sweaty exercise, steam rooms, pools, long hot showers, or submerging underwater.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and/or tanning beds for 2 weeks. After your brows have healed, be sure to apply an SPF to prolong the color of your tattoo. Tanning will cause your brows to fade quicker.
  • Avoid fillers, facials, Botox, chemical peels, or microdermabrasion treatments until your tattoo is completely healed (4-6 weeks).
